Print-ready files, the moment you order
Every order is a digital print — a high-resolution download, emailed instantly. No shipping, no waiting, no delivery address, anywhere in the world.
How it arrives
As soon as your payment completes, the star map is rendered at full resolution and the download link is emailed to you. In practice that is under a minute. Signed-in buyers can also download every past order from their account.
If the email has not appeared within a few minutes, check your spam folder, then email [email protected] and we will re-send it.
What you receive
You receive a print-ready PDF and a high-resolution PNG, 44.5 × 59.4 cm (17.5 × 23.4 in) at 300 DPI — the same long edge as an A2 poster, in a 3:4 proportion. Print them as many times as you need, at any size.
- Print-ready PDF — the file to hand to a print shop; it embeds the full-resolution image at print size.
- High-resolution PNG — for screens, print-on-demand uploads, or printers that prefer it.
- JPG — the same image in a smaller file, for phones, sharing and online print services.
- Every size — your design as a portrait, landscape or square poster and as phone, laptop and desktop wallpapers, downloadable any time from your order.
- 300 DPI — 44.5 × 59.4 cm (17.5 × 23.4 in), the same long edge as an A2 poster.
Printing it, and selling prints
Every paid download can be printed as many times as you like, at any size. It also includes a commercial licence, so print businesses may sell the printed products to their own customers, with no royalties. Reselling, sharing or distributing the digital file or the design template itself is not permitted.
Printing tips
Any print shop can produce it, often the same day, and it works with professional presses and print-on-demand services such as Gelato, Printful and Prodigi.
- Matte stock suits dark designs. Behind glass, a glossy dark print behaves like a mirror.
- Print at the native size or smaller for full sharpness. The file is a 300 DPI raster image, so going much larger than its native size lowers the effective resolution.
- Expect dark designs to print darker than they look on a backlit screen. A test print on your stock is worth it before a large run.
- Watch the mount aperture when framing. Mounts overlap the print edge by 5–10mm, which is where the date and coordinates sit.

If something is wrong
If the file is faulty, will not open, or contains a mistake we made, we will fix it and re-send it or refund you in full. The full terms are on the refunds page, and anything not covered there is on the FAQ.
