1. Who we are

This website and the products sold on it are operated by Tech Vinya (trading as Cry Me Art) (“Cry Me Art”, “we”, “us”). By using the site or placing an order you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.

2. What we sell

Cry Me Art sells personalised star maps as digital prints: print-ready image files (a high-resolution PNG, JPG and PDF, in any of the offered sizes) generated from the date, time, place and text you enter. We do not print, frame or ship physical products. What you buy is a file, delivered by download.

Star positions are calculated from astronomical catalogue data and standard formulae for the moment and location you give. The preview in the editor shows exactly what the file will contain, so please check every detail before you pay.

3. Accounts

You can buy without an account. If you create one, you are responsible for keeping access to your email secure, since sign-in links are sent there. You must be at least 18, or have the permission of a parent or guardian, to place an order.

4. Prices, taxes and payment

• Prices are shown in your region’s currency before you pay, and the price at checkout is the price you are charged.
• Applicable sales tax, VAT or GST is calculated and shown at checkout where it applies.
• We may change prices at any time, but a change never affects an order you have already paid for.
• We never see or store your full card details.

Our order process is conducted by our online reseller, Dodo Payments. Dodo Payments is the Merchant of Record for all our orders: it processes your payment, collects and remits the applicable sales taxes, and its name may appear on your card statement. Questions about an order or a refund can always be sent to us at [email protected], and we work with Dodo Payments to resolve them.

5. Delivery

Your files are delivered digitally: a download link is emailed as soon as payment completes, usually within minutes, and stays available from your account if you have one. Full details are in our shipping & delivery policy.

6. Refunds and cancellation

If a file is faulty or contains a mistake we made, we fix it or refund you in full, and one correction of details you entered is free per order. Because each file is personalised and delivered instantly, downloads are otherwise non-refundable once delivered. The full terms, including how to cancel before downloading, are in our refund & cancellation policy. Nothing in these terms limits your statutory rights as a consumer.

7. Your licence to use the files

Every paid download can be printed as many times as you like, at any size. It also includes a commercial licence, so print businesses may sell the printed products to their own customers, with no royalties. Reselling, sharing or distributing the digital file or the design template itself is not permitted.

Free watermarked previews are for personal viewing and for showing a proof to a customer only. The complete terms are in the licence.

8. Content you provide

You keep ownership of the names, messages and images you add. You confirm you have the right to use them, and you give us permission to process them only to create, store and re-deliver your files. You must not submit content that is unlawful, infringes someone else’s rights, or is hateful, harassing or obscene. We may refuse or remove such content.

9. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• copy, resell, share or redistribute our design templates or the editor itself;
• scrape the site, automate bulk generation, or attempt to bypass watermarks or payment;
• reverse-engineer, overload or interfere with the site or its security;
• use the site for anything unlawful or to infringe anyone’s rights.

10. Our intellectual property

The site, the editor, our design templates, layouts, illustrations, text and branding belong to Cry Me Art or our licensors. Buying a file gives you the licence described in section 7 — it does not transfer ownership of the underlying designs or templates.

11. Accuracy and colour

We take care to make every map astronomically accurate for the details you give, but the result is only as precise as those details. Printed colours vary with paper, ink and printer, and dark designs usually print darker than they look on a backlit screen; we are not responsible for how a third-party printer reproduces a correct file.

12. Limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows, our total liability for any claim relating to an order is limited to the amount you paid for that order, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, such as lost profits or business. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.

13. Suspension

We may suspend or close access to the site or an account that breaches these terms. Files you have already paid for remain yours to use under the licence, unless the breach was of the licence itself.

14. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time; the date at the top shows the latest version. The terms in force when you placed an order apply to that order.

15. Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of India, and the courts of Solan have jurisdiction over disputes. If you are a consumer living elsewhere, you also keep any protections the law of your country gives you. Please contact us first — almost every problem is solved faster by email.

16. Complaints and grievance officer

For any complaint, write to [email protected]. If it is not resolved, you can escalate it to our grievance officer, Suraj Kumar, at [email protected]. Complaints are acknowledged within 48 hours and resolved within one month.
