Mother's Day
Star map gifts for Mother's Day
The strongest Mother's Day star map is not of a date about her — it is the night her first child was born, given by that child. It reframes a date she already knows by heart as something she has never actually seen.
Which night to choose
The map is only as good as the date behind it. These are the choices that work best for Mother's Day.
The night her first child was born
The standard and the best version. Use the hospital's town and the time from the birth certificate.
A map per child
Families with several children sometimes order one star map per birth, hung as a set.
Her own birth date
For grandmothers, her birth sky rather than her children's is the less-expected choice.
When to order
The UK and US Mother's Days fall on different dates — the UK in March, tied to Easter, and the US on the second Sunday in May — so check which applies. Beyond that there is no lead time: the digital print is instant either way.

- “The Night You Became Mum”
- “The Sky That Watched You Arrive”
- “For Mum — With Love”

Cry Me Art for print businesses →Mother's Day star maps — common questions
- What is the best date to use for a Mother's Day star map?
- The night her first child was born, given by that child, is the version that lands most often. Use the town of birth and the time from the birth certificate. For a grandmother, her own birth date is a less predictable alternative.
- Are UK and US Mother's Day on the same date?
- No. UK Mothering Sunday falls in March — it is tied to Easter, so it moves each year, anywhere from 1 March to 4 April. US Mother's Day is the second Sunday in May. Check which applies; the digital print itself is instant either way.
